Does Acupuncture needles hurt?
Acupuncture needles are very thin, most people do not feel any pain or very little when the needle is inserted Into the skin.
What should I expect for my first treatment?
During the initial treatment, we spend 1 to 1.5 hours reviewing your medical history and lifestyle. After we have done a thorough review it is time for the treatment with Gua Sha and Acupuncture.
How often do I need to come in for treatment?
Each patient is different and the treatment plan varies with their imbalance. A common treatment plan consists of visits once or twice a week. It is recommended to get 10 treatments consistently to see long-term effects.
Can I receive acupuncture when I am pregnant?
Yes! Acupuncture is amazing at supporting the body when a baby is in the process of creating another life. Many people come for acupuncture to help with nausea, fatigue, muscle pains, and other symptoms that may result.
How can I prepare for my acupuncture treatment?
Make sure you have eaten a meal before coming in for a treatment. If you are taking any medications or supplements, make sure that you bring a list for the practitioner. And last but not least, make sure you come in for the appointment with an open mind.
What is the cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please do at your earliest opportunity- somebody else will be able to use that time slot. Please note that cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice need to be paid in full.
Are there any side effects?
No there are no side effects to acupuncture. There can be an occasional bruise around the area in which the needle was inserted.
Is there parking in the office?
